Sewer Hook Up Vacant Tax Lot Owners

Date:  03/12/2019

To: All Vacant Tax Lot/s Owner

The Crescent Sanitary District is getting ready to go out to bid for the sanitary collection system.  All residents who have an existing residence on their property will be hooked up to the sewer system at no cost.  Those tax lots that do not have a residence will have to pay for hookup charges when and if you build a residence.  It is mandatory for all residences to hook up to the sewer system but not undeveloped lots.

The Crescent Sanitary District Board would like to extend an invitation for those property owners who do not have an existing residence to hook up to the sewer system at a lower cost during the construction phase.  The hookup fees will be $2500.00 for future residences built on your lot. The estimated monthly sewer fee for developed lots will be approximately $39.50. If you should decide to have a hook up line done on your undeveloped lot during construction the cost will be reduced to $1500.00 for 30 feet of lateral line and a cleanout from the main sewer line. The property owner would be responsible for additional payment of cost plus 10% for any lateral lines beyond 30 feet and for eventual hook up to a new residence. For those owners who cannot afford to pay the fee outright the District will offer various payment plans based on what you can afford to pay each month.

If you decide you would like to take advantage of this offer please contact Chuck Lawrence at 1-541-876-7881 and leave a message if no answer,  or Kim Mathers at 1-907-209-1556 by March 21, 2019 so that we can include your hook up in the engineering plan.

Properties that have sewer and other utilities, generally increase in value so this is a good time to consider bringing this utility to your undeveloped property.

We’re Almost There!

Photo Update 01/22/2019

A Ground Breaking Celebration was held on November 9, 2018 to kick off the construction phase of the new sewer system project. Your CSD Board of Directors have worked very hard on this project to bring it to life. Many hours, days and years of planning have finally come to the forefront bringing you a reliable and viable way to deal with our waist water issue. New photos added 1/22/2019. The Board, with the help of Anderson Engineering, has awarded the contract to Bob’s Excavating of Klamath Falls, OR to complete construction of Phase 1 of the project. Phase 1 consists of the following: Clearing of land, excavation of wastewater treatment ponds, and completion of treatment facility and irrigation areas. Expected construction will begin early November and continue (as weather allows) with completion of Phase 1 scheduled for early next summer.
